Hospice Care ExtraordinaireThis is a featured page

I am not one to readily recommend services. But as the Scripture teaches one should not withhold good from those to whom it is due. As many of you know my mother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer. At her last doctor's visit, hospice care was recommended. We privately prayed that the Lord would allow us to have a hospice where His love would be manifested, and that there would be members of His family serving there. So the Tuesday afternoon after returning from the doctor's office, Altus sent their intake administrator. During the course of the conversation with Ann, she discovered that the administrator was a servant of the Lord. She in turn stated that she would try to ensure that Christian nurses were assigned to Ann's Mom. She concluded the meeting by praying with Ann. This is about living out your faith, as our behavior is the outcome of our beliefs and values. Later that evening the nurse came and spent a very long time with Mary. Shortly thereafter they brought in a hospital bed. The following Thursday, the nurse decided that it was best to have her admitted to the hospice. They promptly arranged everything. The ambulance came, she was admitted and all the particulars taken care of. The facilities was very homely with a wonderful ambiance. The staff's attitude and professionalism were exemplary. So here is to Altus and its staff, keep up the excellent work.

Glenn,

I echo everything you said about hospice. They were fabulous with my mom.
